Kabaw valley dispute between Manipur and Myanmar

Kabaw valley was exchanged with Andaman and Nicobar island by the prime minister of India then Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru for the security reason. Once, Andaman and Nicobar island was occupied by the Myanmar… Nehru thought that Andaman Islands is more important than kabaw valley. Before the signing of agreement, kabaw valley was known for “No man’s land.” Sometime it was taken over by the Myanmar and sometimes by the Manipur. Meitei (Manipur) and Myanmaris oftenly fought a war from this kabaw valley dispute.
From a related sources we found that the Manipuris king ruled the valley for many years. The “Seven years devastation” was closely related to the issue of Kabaw valley.
The agreement of the kabaw valley was one of the most betrayal to the manipuris by the Nehru and Government of India.
