In the 21st century, advertisements play an important role in building the brand. Be it any brand, it definitely needs advertisements for its growth. No company is interested in sharing the weakness of its product- if it does then it becomes bankrupt soon. Will you buy a mobile brand which will advertise that it has a weak battery life? Now you might think why would the company do that. We know it, you are not telling something new. But think if it does then what will happen? Most obviously, we will troll them like we troll everyone else. The trolls and critics will title the brand’s campaign as the “Most Idiotic Campaign Ever.”
Let’s replace the scenario with humans. ‘Human’ is brand or company and pain is its weakness. If you advertise your pain to this world full of depressed people, they will use your sentiments and enjoy your pain to justify theirs. World is interested to know about your weakness not about the strength.
Advertising the pain in this world is just a sin. Having pain isn’t. Do you ever know how silly you look when you show yourselves weak or say it weaker than they used to think about you? Not necessarily everyone is a well wisher for you. To those who put a whatsapp status every weekend heartbroken or something like I need attention, I’m definitely going to say, guys you are wasting your weekend as well as ours. Sometimes the statuses are so sentimental that a person who doesn’t know the meaning of love also remembers his ex(Pun Intended).
Thing that I learnt while advertising my pain is; for getting a small amount of sympathy and affection we lose double the self love and self respect. When people know about our weaker side they know how to control us.

I’ll be now asked that sharing reduces pain and stress. Even doctors suggest sharing pain decreases stress. Sharing is different than Advertising. We share with individuals, group or people we can rely on. Advertising is like spreading in the world, with the same world that doesn’t care about you. The world corners mediocrity not strength. Showing the losing side and expecting self confidence is stupidly. Psychological studies suggest we bring anxiety to a large extent that we build walls around us, walls of fear, anxiety, depression and sadness. Advertising your pain is making yourself weaker.
The better way is to represent it in a better way. Work on your weaknesses, conquer them, and Keep a healthy record of what you have improved in. Work until it becomes your strength. Be like “Ok I’ve been through this in my life be it breakup, disease or any failure but I never quit that’s what makes me different”. It is not only a better way of representing the weakness/pain/experience but also motivating to you and people and around you. When you will look behind, you will find a stronger you. The moment people will understand the basic difference between “Advertising the pain (weakness)” and “Advertising the pain (strength)”, they will know a better way of living.
