A Note To Every Frustrated Indian Student Who’s Being Pressured To Opt For PCM

I think I have become popular . Everybody nowadays is talking about me. I am the subject of the gossips of aunts and uncles. Suddenly, the whole world seems to be interested in me. Relatives and our next door neighbours are having unending discussions on my career.

I am pressurized to take PCM by every single person I know. People who don’t even know me are giving suggestions! Doesn’t every Indian kid encounter this situation? If you have not, then you soon will.

Your IQ will be ranked equivalent to which stream you have opted in class 11th. You soon will be compared to ‘Sharma Ji Ka Ladki’ or ‘Sharma Ji Ki Ladki’ that changes according to which of your family and friends you speak to.

If you have started your coaching for engineering entrances then pray to the Lord for your safety. Why, you ask?

Let me tell you why. Even the watchman of your apartment/building is going to stop you and ask, “Aur IIT ki taiyaari kaisi chal rahi hai?”

I just don’t seem to understand why every Indian has the problem of being so interested in others and their kid’s life instead of their own.

If you think comparisons end here, then let me warn you the result day is even worse. Unnecessary calls from every relative are disturbing because they will rank you on the basis of your percentage as good, average or below average student.
