Entrance exam season is here! There are number of entrance exams that you could choose to give for various management postgraduate courses in India. Comparing the pros and cons of all these exams can be overwhelming. Here is all the information you need to know about the three top MBA entrance exams in India.
CAT
Since 2015, CAT was also conducted online. This objective type exam provides 1 hour for each section. You cannot switch between sections. The exam is 3 hours long and has 3 sections.
Quantitative Ability
Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension
Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning
There are a total of 100 questions. For every right answer you are awarded 3 points and lose 1 point for wrong answers.
SNAP
This objective format test is conducted online by Symbiosis University. The total duration of the exam in 120 minutes. There are a total of 130 questions. There are four sections in the exam:
General English: Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Ability
Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency
Current Affairs
Analytical & Logical Reasoning
All four sections are divided into two groups: Normal and Special questions. Normal questions carry one mark each and special questions carry 2 marks. You will need to use a virtual keyboard to answer special questions.
MAT
You can choose to take the MAT test either on paper or online. There are a total of 200 questions in this 150 minute long test. There are a total of 5 sections:

Intelligence and Critical Reasoning
Data Analysis and Sufficiency
Mathematical Skills
Indian and Global Environment
Every right answer will award you 1 mark and every wrong answer will attract negative marking of 0.25 marks.
