“Children are future of our country.” We regularly hear this statement in our lives, but what if the future of our country is not safe in this country? In India every second child has experienced some sort of sexual abuse in their lives. By this data, we can understand that how much it was important to save our country’s future.
Our voix is working to ensure that children have a secure childhood. It is a Non Profit Organization who aims to prevent child sexual abuse by empowering children. It was initiated by Megha Bhatia in London and now it is a registered youth led organisation in Delhi.Their team are from diverse fields such as lawyers, psychologists, management consultants etc.
Moreover, they provide free workshops to children, teachers, parents about good touch, bad touch, other sexual abuses and legal awareness to college students. Their mission is “To prevent children from becoming victim or culprit of sexual abuse.” Our Voix’s vision is to offer preventive workshops to the children of classes from 1-6 free of cost. They engage youth and build their capacity to act as change makers. Their action of reaching out to 9000+ children in a short span of 8 months speaks louder than the words. By living in this society we all have some sort of responsibility towards it and I think Our Voix is fulfilling this responsibility very efficiently.Through spreading knowledge and awareness about this type of serious issue they are making children self sufficient and tough against sexual abuse. They are building safe places where children can dream and be safe again.
