Imagination has no boundaries and it feels so good to imagine a sitaution where there is peace all around. There is respect for humans no matter on which side of the border they belong. I imagine a time when a situation like that of my story comes true.
Nirupama is young girl from a small village called Hunderman in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. She loves to play with her best friend Khalida who lives in a nearby village situated in pakistan. Both villages share the India-Pak border. One evening, Khalida, while having a chat with Nirupama in her home, shares her granny’s stories and how she used to tell her about the feeling of hatred that the people of their villages had with each other, the attacks and wars they had been through. The young girls wondered the reason behind such hatred as the two of them never found anything to hate in each other and felt that their village people were so similar in their nature. They never felt a sense of hatred as both the girls along with their families apart from other village people used to have get togethers, they celebrated their festivals together. On asking her mother about this, nirupama got to know that this was not the case long years back. The peace with which they now live, didn’t exist at that time.
