Amidst all the drama around the ball-tampering controversy, David Warner’s wife Candice Warner lost her third child who would have been born shortly.
The Australian cricketer has lost a lot of things in the aftermath of the Sandpaper Gate scandal, but none of the losses have probably been greater than this. Previous to this, Warner had lost his spot in the Australian team – he was banned from international cricket for 1 year and debarred from captaining the national side for two years. None of that will have hurt the headstrong cricketer more than this.
I sat down with Women’s Weekly and the talented Lizzie Wilson to reveal coming through our darkest days and how Dave and the girls will always come first. pic.twitter.com/FRs5pzSG6n

When the world was busy casting its aspersions at David Warner for his involvement in something that was unbecoming of an international cricketer, his wife Candice was fighting hard to sustain her pregnancy. However, she could not succeed as the stress got the better of her. In an unfortunate turn of events, she ultimately lost her child.
Candice revealed the horror incident herself, while speaking to Australia Women’s Weekly: “I called Dave to the bathroom and told him I was bleeding. We knew I was miscarrying. We held one another and cried. The miscarriage was a heartbreaking end to a horror tour.”
I’m so honoured to be able to share my story with @WomensWeeklyMag. The Weekly has made a donation on my behalf to the Dolly Everett Foundation, Dolly’s Dream. I know how emotionally devastating it is to be bullied. It can suffocate you – too many kids are suffering in silence. pic.twitter.com/rgGakg8Wi2

No sooner had these reports starting doing the rounds in the media, David came up with a rather long and emotional Instagram post.
“When you’re living the dream you must enjoy every moment of it regardless of the highs and lows. We as a family have been through one of the toughest times ever the last few months but nothing will ever stop us from being just us. I have three of the best girls in the world that I cherish and love every single waking day. I am truly blessed with this!! My wife my rock has endured pain, disappointment, regrets in her past and so many highs and lows but the courage Candice has shown in recent months is a testament to the qualities she has as a mother, person, friend and wife. I’m grateful everyday I get to call her my wife and my soul mate, I wouldn’t want it any other way,” David said.
