The growing disparities and fall apart, the growing division of the country in the name of caste, class, colour, religion, yet there, in a corner of our country holds together a place where nothing matters but education, nothing matters but embarkment of knowledge to every possible corner they could reach out to, hence that’s how a initiative brought together to empower the rural in the name of education and foremost, to grow out of their disparity and worthlessness.
Buniyaad India, is a foundation that aims at strengthening the understructure of our society by improving the human capital at the grass root level. A participatory development agency which strives to empower people to share their future through access to equal opportunity to education, healthcare, safe drinking water and sanitation.
Working in the districts of Uttar Pradesh, Sant Kabir Nagar and Basti, they faced the major challenge of lack of education, and an infrastructure to build a tomorrow for every child living in these districts. They joined hands to bring about a much higher level of teaching standards to inculcate a better learning.
They figured the conditions of the government schools in these districts and their declining state made parents watch out for the private schools creating a bandwagon effect for the parents who send their children to a government school feel nothing else but pure guilt unless, Buniyaad changed the foundation of their lives.
In their eyes, education has no caste, religion or gender, in the recent talent search organised by Buniyaad India, all the top performers were girls in the districts of Uttar Pradesh showcasing one true motto of how education empowers girls, for the better.
The prestigious member of Buniyaad, former Vice Chancellor of IGNOU and the Assistant Director General at UNESCO, Dr. Abdul Waheed Khan, believes and I quote, “…There cannot be economic growth, social justice and political empowerment without ensuring quality education.”
For him, and for all of us, it shouldn’t be necessary for a kid to take up education, what matters is quality education, where children not only visit school, but learns to empower themselves and their future. We need to raise them right, for the better as they are and will be the future of our country, hence as you grow take up a responsibility of a child to grow with you, because it’s important, not just in your life, but at the grass root level of the society where education brews on a low flame, but needs to be cooked to the end of a day’s meal.
