The resident return visa checklist covers 3 subclasses namely; 156,157 and 159

PROVISIONAL RESIDENT RETURN VISA (RRV), SUBCLASSES 156 AND 157

Subclass 155 is valid for 5 years and subclass 157 is valid for 3 months

The following documents are required to be submitted to the Department of Home Affairs (DHA) for processing your visa application. Your work will be eased if you are aware of the resident return visa checklist. You can collect these documents before submitting your application for RRV. As the applicant, it is your responsibility to provide all information correctly and all required documents along with your application on the basis of which the DHA takes the final decision. Documents not in English must be accompanied by an endorsed English translation

Documents Required

  1. Duly fill in and completed application in Form 1085
  2. Separate completed application for each family member, including a child travelling on a parent’s passport
  3. Payment of Visa Application charge of the Australian Government
  4. Scanned copy of the biological page of your valid passport
  5. Written statement containing the details of when you intend to reside permanently in Australia
  6. Evidence to show that you are an immediate member of a family group, the head of which holds a current RRV
  7. Proof of relationship
  8. Copy of biological page of passport of each family member
  9. Birth Certificate for children below the age of 18
  10. If you were not present physically in Australia for a total of 2 years during the past 5 years; evidence of substantial ties, beneficial to Australia.
  11. Evidence to support business ties with Australia; you have to show that you have substantial ownership interests in business and that you are personally involved at a senior level, for the day-to-day managerial and operational activities of the said business. In evidence of this, you need to submit i) Reports of the company that defines your role and authority, ii) Business transactions, iii) Tax Returns, Bank Statements, iv) Business r personal records, v) Contracts showing your signatures.
  12. For evidencing your claim of substantial cultural ties of benefit to Australia, you have submit i) Publications written by you, ii) Contracts, iii) Newspaper articles about you, iv) Evidence of membership of cultural associations, v) Programs listing your artistic or cultural performances
  13. For evidencing your current or expected employment in Australia, you need to submit i) Letter of offer from employers, ii) Employment Contracts, iii) Employee Identification or iv) Recent official documents like group certificates
  14. For evidencing substantial personal ties to Australia, you need to submit i) Documents showing your stay outside Australia with an Australian citizen partner, ii) Citizenship certificate, Birth Certificates or evidence of permanent residence of any immediate family members residing in Australia, iii) Evidence of ownership of property in Australia such as Property Purchase contracts or certificate of ownership iv) Details showing if the property is current occupied by your family members or tenants not known to you personally

PROVISIONAL RESIDENT RETURN VISA: SUBCLASS 159

The following is the resident return visa checklist for former holders of temporary entry or general entry permits for Norfolk Island Immigration.  The TEP and GEP visas are valid for six years and six months.

  1. Application in form 1085: Application for a Resident Return Visa (RRV)
  2. Application in Form 956 if a migration agent fills up the application for you
  3. Application in Form 956a if someone else is to receive correspondence on your behalf
  4. Identity; certified copies of biographical pages of your current passport
  5. Certificate evidencing change of name
  6. Certified copy of birth certificate if you are a former child of holder of Temporary Entry Permit(TEP) on 30 June 2016
