THE ROLE OF RELIGION

As a child I once heard the story of how humans pleaded their creator to bless them with a leader. When several tries of the creator to make the nutbrains know about the value of dwelling in freedom failed, he generated the idea of God.
If it had stopped with this, world would have still been a place to survive. But humans exaggerated and pushed the boundaries further crossing their threshold limits and dividing God, which basically can be defined as an hypothetical leader created to fulfill the wish of humans for a higher authority.
Humans not only defined God and the rituals to please and mesmerize Him but also divided their breed inorder to gain a sense of achievement by initiating control through the religions. The religions bifurcated the beliefs, sending the common man in a state of dilemma with no choice but of following the herd. Myraid of humans without even questioning the reason of their own existence fell prey. Bereft of universal unity, humanity lost its morale on the grounds of partition as religion had its roots spread across the minds of the fools.
Religion divided the bright minds, distracting humanity from its core reason to thrive and thereby pushing us backwards with falling time. Religion serves a good purpose if it defined as a concept for dispersing spiritual essence but if it contradicts reasoning and questioning, it is just destroying the fundamental rights of humans and thereby castrating our freedom and hopes.
