Guru Arjan Dev Institute of Development Studies, Amritsar – a sister concern of purely religious body namely, Sri Guru Arjan Dev Sat Sang Sabha, is a centre for advanced research and training in multi disciplinary areas as diverse as Agriculture and rural development; social change and social structure; environment and resource economics; globalization and trade, industry, labour and welfare; macro economics issues and models; population and development and health policy research. Institute is running on No Profit No Loss basis and totally on the contribution made by its learned members. In spite of limited finances, institute has so for conducted seven International/National Seminars and brought out more than 30 research publications since its inception, that is, July 2009 and is registered under Society Registration Act.
We deem it a great privilege to bring to you kind notice that institute has planned to organize 8th National Seminar on the theme: Education and Sustainable Development: Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Challenges in the second week of February 2018. The total estimated budget for this event is around Rs 8 lakhs. The contribution of all the players in the field is very necessary for the success of the seminar.
