For The 2 Rape Survivors In Delhi, The Street Wasn’t Safe And Home Didn’t Have Toilet

Two persons raped two minor girls in Rohini’s K N Katju Marg on Monday when the girls had gone to relieve themselves outside their house, according to reports. The girls were using a vacant plot outside their house for defecation since they did not have a toilet at home.

The Indian Express reported that the two children have been admitted to the Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital in Rohini. One of the girls is in critical condition. Both girls have suffered injuries to their private parts. The families of the survivors started worrying when the children were delayed in returning. On starting the search, the families found the children crying at the vacant plot.

[envoke_twitter_link]The police is reported to have apprehended two men from the area in connection with the rape.[/envoke_twitter_link] The accused persons live in the same area as the survivors. A case has also been registered at the KN Katju Marg police station under IPC sections of rape and the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act.
