Last month, I shared an interesting video where kids opined on ‘religion’ and reminded us of impressionable minds that were slowly but surely forming their own beliefs about what’s right and what’s wrong. It’s about the cliché, isn’t it? That the innocence in children is often brushed off as inconsequential. So, to add some perspective to ideas about growth and progress, kids were asked about what they would do or change if they were the Prime Minister of India. In this video, you’ll see how ranging from feeding the poor to promoting gay rights, some of the responses that emerged truly speak volumes of the work that needs to be done. The fact that these are children that are distinct in their experiences makes their answers worth dwelling upon.
To continue their ‘Kids Speak out’ series, Being Indian went on to tread upon a question often asked of little kids – what do you want to be when you grow up? While the answers in this ‘On Being PM’ video may be naïve, they will definitely make you reconsider your own ideas.
