We are bombarded with information in the form of ads from numerous different brands. From one billboard to another, all we see is the shine and glamour of products we don’t need or those that we can’t afford. These ads keep gazing at us, almost mocking our lives, devoid of their so called ‘luxury’ or ‘delight’.
All adjectives team up in these advertisements to create a brand image that lures people to products they want to get hold of as soon as possible. They are drawn like moths to a flame. However, the real utility and importance of these products varies.
An illustrator, Paritosh Anand took this theme to a new level and created a satirical series of posters called ‘Honest Ads’ that take a dig at many such brands. Check out some of these posters here:
