With everything going digital and virtual today from menu cards on Zomato to blogs on topics ranging from cooking, fiction, travel or photography – are our book shelves gathering dust or going emptier by the day?
In the age of instant gratification and one-click information, do we still need books to stretch our imagination and acquire lessons that help us contribute towards a better world?
“When I was ten, I didn’t have a PS3. Or an Xbox. Or an iPhone. But, I had books. I read, I read everything I could get my hands on, be it Enid Blyton, Roald Dahl, Dr. Suess, J.K. Rowling.  And, even though I didn’t have any of these fancy gadgets, I had the world at my feet. And, today I still do. I do, because I read.” – Upasana Sharma, The Alternative Student Voices
