Small Tips to Stay Fit!

Simran Ahuja:

Health is not valued until sickness comes. Many people have heard about this proverb but only a negligible number of people try to overcome this problem by taking remedial steps.

In this fast changing era, development and technology is changing at a breathe taking pace. New types of drugs and medicines are also available now-a-days in the market. Most of the people depend on these medicines and don’t take precautions before, to lessen the intake of these harmful chemicals. Human beings are the authors of their own diseases and health related problems.

As summers are approaching, we should try to avoid some of ours habits which are injurious to health. Among many the main one is that we should avoid walking in sun as it causes sun burns, avoid working out too much as it will make us indolent and listless and can further lead to dehydration. Recently, we come across many examples through television, radio and internet about the deleterious effect of sun rays on us. Sunlight some times contains ultra violet radiations which can cause millions of problems for our skin. It leads to formations of wrinkles and brown patches.

Prevention is better than cure, so we should handle this problem with great care. Some of the steps taken for good heath are applying sun cream to avoid burns, drinking a lot of water, having more of vegetables and fruits, wearing protective glasses to avoid direct contact of eyes with the sun and having a sound sleep every night.

Furthermore, we should try to avoid the intake of drugs and medicines. These have side effects that can be detrimental to our health. Good health is one of the greatest blessings. Health is considered before wealth. For instance, if we are not healthy we are sometimes denied the job opportunities. In the aeronautical department, health check ups are considered more important than the entrance exams. Moreover, an unhealthy mind leads to a devils work.

To conclude, I would like to say that to insure good health: eat lightly, breathe deeply, live moderately and cultivate cheerfulness.
